I have been given this 2 stroke Victa to tinker with. I am hoping all it needs is a new ignition lead, some new blades and a good clean. Does anybody have any manuals for a Victa mower please? I don't suppose blades are available? One is rusted away. Al Top. Sat, 17/05/2014 - 12:37 #4. wristpin. Offline . Last seen: 3 hours 41 min ago . Joined: 23/05/2012 - 22:09 . Victa manuals. Testing a Victa Ignition Coil Push Mower Repair

Thank you for the very informative coil testing video! I am trying to resurrect a 2011 Victa Tornado 2230, 2 stroke line trimmer. After carefully stripping down and flushing out the carb, I cleaned the tank and using fresh fuel and 2 stroke oil mixed to directions provided and replaced the spark plug but I am still unable to get the motor running.

How to Test a Condenser in a Small Engine Hunker

A condenser is part of the ignition system used on most small engines. The condenser is physically the same as a high voltage capacitor used in other types of electrical circuits. The small engine condenser stores a high voltage charge. A set of contacts are used to release that charge to the spark plug. If the condenser malfunctions, the small engine will not run. Various small engines have ...

Symptoms of Bad or Failing Points Condenser ...

The points and condenser system works with an electrical charge that is sent to an ignition coil, which was connected to the distributor cap. The condenser is attached to the system by breaker points. The condenser and distributor rotate so that the points open and close continuously.

How to Test a Two-Stroke Engine's Ignition Module and Coil ...

The ignition coil or module for a two-stroke engine regulates the ignition power, and converts it to charging electricity for the battery system. When the module and coil begin to fail, it's typically because the units have been burned out. The result will be an engine that performs badly, if it starts at all. Testing such units involves using a few electrical tools to gauge if the part still ...

The Classic Mechanic: Points/Condenser Ignition Explained

Its purpose is to ignite the air/fuel mixture in the engine's cylinders and begin the power stroke. Almost every car built in Britain before 1980 used the traditional Points/Condenser ignition system shown below.
